Company Information
İLKO Pharmaceuticals is a Turkish-based, internationally operating manufacturer of pharmaceuticals and food supplements. It offers its developed and manufactured food supplements under the Wellcare brand.
Established in 2012 under the umbrella of Selçuklu Holding, its production facility is located in the Konya 3rd Organized Industrial Zone on an area of 250,000 m². The facility has an annual production capacity of 120 million boxes and is equipped with CFR Part 11 compliant smart building systems.
R&D activities are carried out by İLKO R&D Center (generic drug and food supplement development) and İLKO Biotechnology Center, which is Türkiye’s first biotechnology drug R&D center.
As of 2017, İLKO İlaç also operates in the consumer health sector with its WELLCARE brand. Wellcare products are manufactured in a GMP-approved facility in Konya; product development and management processes are carried out from the headquarters in Istanbul. Products are developed at İLKO R&D Center and validated with qualitative/quantitative analyses; stability, microbiological and shelf-life tests are performed.

Hatice Öncel graduated from Boğaziçi University’s Department of Chemical Engineering. In 2004, she further solidified her expertise in management by obtaining an MBA degree from Bilgi University’s Department of Business Administration.
He began his career in 1989 as a specialist in the Quality Control laboratory at Biofarma Pharmaceuticals, a family company; subsequently, he established the R&D and Regulation Departments and served as the Director of Technical Operations. In 2009, he left Biofarma and founded İLKO Pharmaceuticals and İLKO Argem R&D Center.
In 2015, in partnership with South Korea-based Genexine, İLKOGEN Biotechnology Inc. was established; under this structure, the development processes of one biobetter and three biosimilar products were initiated.
